The trucking industry is strong in Adams County. More than two-thirds of the country is within a three-day, 900-mile drive. About 20 trucking firms are headquartered or have a physical presence here, and more than 1,500 trucks are domiciled in Adams County. With four-lane highway expansion in all directions, Quincy is becoming a popular site for warehousing and distribution.

These truck lines offer short and long haul service to 48 states with vans, flatbeds, bulk tankers and refrigerated units. Other locally owned small trucking firms serve specific hauling needs for grain, dump trucking, mail, etc. National LTL carriers including ABF, Yellow, FedEx and Roadway have terminals in Quincy.
