Major Employers

Quincy and Adams County have a diverse economic base of more than 100 manufacturers, along with abundant commercial services and a growing retail sector. The industrial segment is made up of a number of century-old companies and a refreshing mix of hi-tech and small businesses. Adams County’s three largest industrial categories are electronics, agribusiness and industrial machinery. A number of local firms specializing in tool and die, metal fabrication and other industrial support services help meet the needs of the area’s larger companies.
