Adams Electric Cooperative is a local electric cooperative providing electric service to areas primarily in Adams, Brown and Schuyler counties in western Illinois.

Based in Camp Point, Illinois, member-owned Adams Electric Cooperative provides:

Continental Cooperative Services (CCS) based in Harrisburg, Pa., was created in March 2000, the result of a strategic alliance between Allegheny (Pa.) Electric Cooperative, Inc. and Illinois’ Soyland Power Cooperative, Inc.

CCS offers:

  • 417 mw generation capacity made up of:

    • 263 mw of nuclear, coal and hydro baseload generation
    • 154 mw of oil-and-gas-fired peaking units
  • 682 miles of transmission lines
