Career Launch Signing Day 2025
On May 13th we celebrated recent graduates who are entering careers in manufacturing, nursing, logistics, truck driving, and more. This event, known as Career Launch Signing Day, was designed to celebrate these driven young individuals who have chosen to pursue in-demand regional careers and have now secured employment with local employers.
Photos below are from Career Launch Signing Day 2025. Each student has chosen to enter an in-demand career and are being hired by a local employer.
The event emulates National Signing Day and recognizes students entering the workforce who chose an in demand regional career, and are now being hired by a local employer.
At Career Launch Signing Day students newly hired, along with the companies they work for, will sign an empowering work ready pledge. Each newly hired student will also receive a special certificate from the Adams County Works (ACW) team and partners.
Partners: Great River Economic Development Foundation, John Wood Community College & Quincy Area Vocational Technical Center
The event recognizes students entering into careers in transportation, distribution & logistics (TDL), manufacturing, health science and agriculture.
This event has passed. However, if you hire a graduating high school senior or graduates from John Wood Community College in April or May of 2026 please reach out to us to participate in the event next year. We are looking to celebrate individuals who have gained technical skills through Career and Technical Education, or are simply entering the workforce following high school graduation.
