Celebrating Our Regions Next Career & Technical All Stars!

We recognize those entering the workforce with a signing day for both the employers and employees.

Photos below are from Career Launch Signing Day 2023. This year, 19 students from John Wood Community College, Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences and Quincy Area Vocational Technical Center signed an empowering work ready pledge. Each student has chosen to enter an in-demand career and are being hired by a local employer.

The event recognizes students entering careers in manufacturing, nursing, logistics, and truck driving. This year, students committed to the following local employers: Bickford Assisted Living and Memory Care, Blessing Surgery Center, Dot Foods, Doyle Equipment Manufacturing, Hy-Vee, Inc., Peters Heating and Air, Quincy Medical Group and the Surgery Center, Sharkey Transportation, United Alloy, Inc., and Wis-Pak, Inc.

At Career Launch Signing Day students newly hired, along with the companies they work for, will sign an empowering work ready pledge. Each newly hired student will also receive a special certificate from the Adams County Works (ACW) team and partners.
