The Great River Economic Development Foundation was thrilled to partner with Junior Achievement and the Learning Technology Center to host this event for the community. The Career Spark STEAM Expo is a community-focused initiative aimed at equipping students for their future by linking them with local industries and educational opportunities, all while presenting a diverse range of career paths.
Local businesses, organizations, and educational institutions were categorized into three distinct career clusters, which include:
- Industrial, Engineering, Architecture & Construction, Agriculture, Manufacturing, STEM, and Logistics
- Human/Health Services, Education & Training, Government, Hospitality & Tourism, and Law & Public Safety
- Business, Finance, Technology, IT, Marketing, Sales, Arts, and Communication
Employers from each of these clusters offered students hands-on opportunities to discover their respective industries through engaging exhibits and activities designed to highlight various career paths. Students had the opportunity to take part in interactive demonstrations, ask questions, and collect information to assist them in making informed educational and career choices.
Career Spark was created to bridge the gap between education and employment by highlighting the vital importance of STEAM-related fields in everyday life and the job market. Its goal is to inspire students to chase their dreams while contributing to the growth and success of the community. Please stay tune for Career Spark 2026.
This event highlights various career clusters, providing students with the opportunity to explore the diverse job options available within each cluster.
